King Charles made his inaugural public appearance following Buckingham Palace’s revelation on Wednesday that the Monarch is scheduled for surgery to address an enlarged prostate next week.

According to People, the Monarch was seen departing his residence, Birkhall in Aberdeenshire, accompanied by Queen Camilla. In the images captured, Charles occupied the back seat of an Audi, while Camilla sat in the front.

For those unfamiliar with the situation, an official statement from Buckingham Palace on Wednesday disclosed that King Charles is to be admitted to the hospital for treatment related to an enlarged prostate. The statement clarified, “In common with thousands of men each year, The King has sought treatment for an enlarged prostate.”

As per the Palace’s spokesperson, “The Majesty’s condition is benign, and he will attend the hospital next week for a corrective procedure.” Additionally, it was mentioned that “The King’s public engagements will be postponed for a short period of recuperation.”

Significantly, this health update about the Monarch coincided with the announcement of Princess Kate’s ‘planned abdominal surgery.’
