“Prince Harry Joins Family at Balmoral After Queen Elizabeth’s Death Amid Strained Relations”

Prince Harry rushed to Balmoral to be with his family following the passing of his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, despite lingering tensions. Reports suggest that Harry was excluded from an invitation to dinner with his estranged father, King Charles, and brother, Prince William, just hours after the Queen’s demise.

Flying to Aberdeen upon learning of his grandmother’s impending passing, Harry arrived after her death at Balmoral on September 8, 2022. Princess Anne warmly welcomed him before taking him to see the Queen. However, Harry only reunited with Charles and William when they traveled to London the next day.

Biographer Robert Hardman claimed in his book “Charles III: New King. New Court. The Inside Story” that a secret meeting about handling the fallout from the Queen’s death excluded Harry. The meeting between William, King Charles, and Queen Camilla at Birkhall was deemed essential but discreet, with concerns that Harry might take notes for his upcoming book.

According to Hardman, Harry’s exclusion was to ensure a focused discussion for the new King without distractions. Meghan Markle, reportedly banned from joining due to their feud with the Firm, and Princess Kate, who chose to be with her children, were absent as well.

That evening, Harry dined with his aunt and cousins, including Zara Tindall, and then took a commercial flight back to London, stating in his memoir “Spare” that the quickest means was via British Airways departing from Balmoral at daybreak.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex face fresh controversy as reports suggest Queen Elizabeth may not have given her blessing for naming their daughter Lilibet. While the couple claimed they wouldn’t have used the name without her support, sources indicate that the decision caused the Queen distress in her final months.”
